Check that the frame is properly locked before putting baby in, lay the mattress flat on the bottom of the cot and lock both wheels. Only use the mattress supplied, without adding a pillow or thick duvet, and keep the side opening closed as long as the child should not get out alone. At night, a baby sleeping bag remains the safest option.
