What to put on a baby registry?
A good baby registry mixes the useful, the long-lasting and the little treat, at every price. Think room by room:
- Sleep : cot, mattress, sleeping bags, nightlight, baby monitor.
- Meals : nursing pillow or bottles, bibs, then weaning tableware.
- Bath and care : baby bath, bath towels with hoods, thermometer, care kit.
- Outings : pushchair, car seat, baby carrier, nappy bag.
- Clothes : bodysuits and sleepsuits in 1 and 3 month sizes rather than newborn size.

How to choose your baby registry website?
There are many baby registry websites. Before choosing yours, ask yourself these questions:
- Is it free, for you and for your loved ones? Some lists take fees on money pots.
- Can I add products from any shop, or only from one store?
- Are duplicates avoided automatically?
- What's in it for me? A voucher, a discount, nothing at all?
- Is my list discreet : visible on Google or not, password-protectable?

When to make your baby registry, and what budget to plan?
Start your list around the 5th month of pregnancy and share it around the 7th month, before the baby shower. It can still be edited: you'll add to it after the birth, once you know what you're missing.
As for budget, offer gifts at every price : small items between €10 and €30 for colleagues and friends, most between €30 and €80, and a few big items (pushchair, cot, car seat) that loved ones can give together. Allow about one and a half times as many ideas as people likely to give a gift.

For which occasions can I create a PetitMaxou list?
All of them: birth, baby shower, christening, birthday, Christmas or any other celebration. You choose the occasion when you create your list. It's free: all you need is a PetitMaxou account.
Can I add products from other shops?
Yes. Just paste the product link: its name, photo and price are fetched automatically when the shop allows it, and you can edit them. You can also add a gift idea without a link.
How is my voucher calculated?
We give you back 15 % of all orders your loved ones place on PetitMaxou from your registry link, even for items that aren't on it (item amounts, excluding delivery, minus returns and refunds). Purchases made in other shops don't count.
When will I receive my voucher?
When your registry closes, whenever you decide: you can choose a closing date or close it in one click from your account. There's no rush: your registry stays open as long as you like.
How do I use my voucher?
The code is shown in your account and sent by email. It is valid for 6 months, for a single use, with your account, on an order of at least the voucher amount. It cannot be combined with another discount code.
Can my loved ones see what has already been given?
Yes: PetitMaxou gifts are ticked off automatically as soon as they're ordered, and for other shops your loved ones click “I've given it”. No more duplicates!
Is my registry private?
It doesn't appear on Google. Your loved ones find it through its link, or by searching for your first name on PetitMaxou if you leave this option ticked. You can also protect it with a password.
When should you make your baby registry?

Allow about one and a half times the number of people likely to give a gift, often 30 to 60 ideas, at varied prices so everyone finds something within their budget.

There's no money pot: each loved one gives the gifts they choose. For a big gift, add several smaller items that make it up, or set a quantity.
